Movie: CRD

Language: Hindi

A young Dramatist rebels against his fascist Tutor to form his troop of misfits – aiming to win a prestigious theatre competition and trying to find the hardest thing of all: his voice. Inspired by real life event ‘Purushottam’ in Pune, India

CRD – is the story of Chetan (Saurabh Saraswat) a writer who joins Ferguson College in Pune and wants to represent the college in the longstanding inter-college theatre competition, joins the theatre class run by Mayank (Vinay Sharma). Mayank is a despotic professor who teaches in an intense boot camp training way.

Chetan rebels against this fascist professor. The film is inspired by real life event in India. Set in the world of College Theatre, it probes fascism and fierce competition in arts.

Directed by National Award Winning Director, Kranti Kanadé and Yuva Sahitya Akademi Award Winning Dramatist, Dharmakirti Sumant, CRD is a film humming to the fervent tunes of strong buzzing drama and romance. The narrative of the movie is so unique and it constantly makes a grim cross between theater and cinema. The characters are even bolder than the story’s narrative; marking the spirit of competition a fascist mentor enthrals and the presence of a rebellious young dramatist. CRD is something unheard of in Hindi cinema!
