‘Cycle’ takes us back to the post- Independent India era in a small Konkan village. A light-hearted film with an inimitable story at its heart, ‘Keshav’, the main protagonist, has an intense love affair with his cycle. One day, two thieves on the lookout for a new adventure enter Keshav’s village. They plan on stealing the village headman’s house since it is rumored to have solid gold deities. One night while the village is busy in festivities, these thieves steal the deities. While going the two are chased by dogs and to excape they find Keshav’s cycle and steals it.
‘Cycle’ has Hrishikesh Joshi, Priyadarshan Jadhav and Bhau Kadam in the lead roles.
The movie is directed by Prakash Kunte who had in the past given hits like ‘Coffee Ani Barach Kahi’ along with ‘Hampi’ All his movies have often captured the essence of these places, which films are set in. Cinematographer Amalendu Chaudhary captures the cinematic beauty of this beautiful.
This movie is produced by Amar Pandit and Sangram Surve & is produced under the banner their own banner while it is presented by Sudhanshu Vats, Ajit Andhare and Nikhil Sane.
