Two-time National Award winning director, Sachin Kundalkar’s latest release is titled ‘Gulabjaam’ stars Sonali Kulkarni and Siddarth Chandekar in the lead roles. The Marathi comedy-drama was released on 16th February 2018. Sachin is known for his other films like ‘Nirop’ (2007) and ‘Gandha‘ (2009).
The film is about Aditya Naik (Siddharth Chandekar) a Maharashtrian who returns from London and comes to Pune. He comes home with plans of opening a restaurant in the city and wishes to learn the traditional cooking styles and techniques. His aim is to open a Marathi Gourmet Restaurant in London. Radha is unconventional and unresponsive to Aditya’s requests to teach him how to cook Marathi cuisines. She agrees with one condition and agrees to teach him how to cook Marathi cuisine. The conditions are that Aditya needs to pass a few tests before Radha could accept him as a student. As Aditya and Radha embark on this new project, a new pathway opens up for him.
