Sure, the industry is filled with glitz and glamour but sometimes what most of us don’t know is that some of the stars are highly educated as well. People have this general misconception that if you want to make it to Bollywood, you have to skip college and head straight to the industry. When it comes to a star kid, what’s the whole point of education if they have to end up in the film industry? Right? Wrong.

Ameesha was a brilliant student before she ventured into acting. She did her schooling from Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai for which she was assigned as the head girl. She then moved overseas to study Bio-genetic engineering but ended up dropping the course after two years. She then switched to Economics at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. She graduated with a gold medal. After graduation, she was offered a job offer in Morgan Stanley, but she denied the offer and ventured into acting.
It isn’t of a surprise that Big B is one of the most respected and revered actors who was born to a family of scholars. Amitabh is the son of well-known Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and has a double major in Science and Arts from The University of Delhi. He has also received an honorary doctorate degree from Queensland University, Australia.
The hot hunk has one of the finest bodies in Bollywood complying with a perfect combination of both brains and brawn. John did his schooling from Bombay Scottish School in Worli, Mumbai after which he did his bachelor’s degree in economics from Jai Hind College, University of Mumbai. If that wasn’t enough, John also has an MBA degree from Mumbai Educational Trust.
The actress who is popular for her films like ‘Ishaqzaade’ and ‘Golmaal Again’ actually holds a triple honours degree in Business, Finance and Economics from the Manchester Business School in England. She has also revealed in a couple of interviews that she was a very good student and before entering Bollywood, she wanted to become an investment banker. To add more to her credentials, the lovely actress is trained as a Hindustani classical singer with a B.A. Honours in music.
Preity’s debut performance was through ‘Dil Se’ after she completed her Master’s Degree in Criminal Psychology. This Bollywood beauty who was raised in an Army household received an English (Honours) degree before going forward with her post-graduation.

The youngest daughter of Pataudi Khandaan is a highly qualified celebrity. Soha studied at The British School in New Delhi and went to study modern history in Oxford. Soon after earned a Masters Degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

English School, Jamshedpur. Madhavan completed his graduation in electronics, gained a scholarship and represented India as a cultural ambassador in Canada. He was very active in extra curriculum activities and was awarded the Best NCC Cadet Maharashtra, subsequently getting a chance to go to England and training with the Royal Army, Navy and the Air Force. He then did courses in public speaking which led him to more awards and opportunities afterwards.
