With 190 films from 65 countries, and over 460 screenings IFFK 2017 was attended by approximately 10000 delegates. The International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) is a film festival held annually and is hosted by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, a Kerala Government Institution to promote cinema. A competition section for the films from Asian and African and Latin American countries is the highlight of the festival. The Golden Crow Pheasant Award with a cash prize INR 15 lakhs (approximate 30,000 US dollars) for the best feature film to be shared equally between the director and the producer.The festival is held towards the end of the year and is acknowledged as one of the leading cultural events in India.
