SYNOPSIS: The guilt triggered by the happenings following an encounter with an abandoned infant makes the wife of a high-profile police officer obsessively track down her own abandoned child, born out of premarital momentary passion. But her efforts to bring him back to her life hit the high glass wall that divides them.

Director’s Overview:

Trained in National Institue of Photography, Mumbai, Monjul Baruah has been assistant directors of several national award-winning films and himself has directed number of documentary and short films over the last fifteen years. ‘Antareen (Quest of Sanctuary), the first feature film directed by him bagged the three best feature film award at the Indian Cine Film Festival held in Mumbai and Prag Cine Awards, Tezpur in the year 2015, as well as at 1st Sailadhar Baruah Film Award 2016. It is followed by ‘Kaaneen’ (A secret search) which is about a high profile character’s search for her long abandoned child against the backdrop of contemporary society and values. For this young filmmaker the Inter personal relations in the changing paradigms of fragile socio-economic circumstances remain the subject of interest.
